Exporting Documents to Word (.docx)
Last updated: July 1, 2026
Rhythms lets you export any document to Microsoft Word (.docx) so you can share it outside Rhythms, attach it to an email, or keep an offline copy. Word export is turned on for every workspace by default, so there is no admin setup required — anyone with access to a document can export it.
Export a document to Word
- Open the document you want to export.
- Click the actions menu (the ⋯ icon) in the top-right of the document view.
- Select Export to Word.
- Your browser downloads a
.docxfile named after the document title.
The exported file preserves your document's headings, text formatting, tables, and images so it opens cleanly in Word, Google Docs, or any compatible editor.
What gets exported
| Document element | Exported to Word |
|---|---|
| Headings and body text | Yes |
| Tables | Yes |
| Images | Yes |
| Checklists | Yes, as a checklist |
| Live dashboard and KPI cards | Exported as a static snapshot of their current values |
Because dashboard and KPI cards are captured as a snapshot, the Word file reflects the numbers at the moment you export. Re-export the document to pick up newer values.
